Community Update – Spring 2025

Spring is here at last, and what a beautiful sight it is! The town is full of bright and cheerful spring flowers, a true delight for all to see.

There’s lots happening with the Community Art Stand, with exciting events coming up:

· Bottle Top Mural Completion – Join us on Saturday, 12th April in the Mural Garden from 10am to 12pm as we finish our wonderful bottle top mural. It’s been a real community effort, and we’d love for you to be there!

· VE/VJ Day Celebrations – Taking place at the British Legion on Saturday, 10th May from 12pm to 4pm.

We’re looking forward to another fantastic day marking this important occasion. There will be plenty of fun and a wonderful free community party in the park, kindly organised by the Council. Let’s hope for good weather again! Last year was a fantastic success, bringing the community together.

The Art Stand will also be there with a craft table for budding artists and creative children. We had such a wonderful time with you all last year! Make sure to mark Saturday, 14th June in your diary.

· Scarecrow Festival – Running from 1st to 18th July, this year we are still considering a Walt Disney theme to celebrate his 70th anniversary. We can’t wait to see all the creative ideas on display!

· Postbox Toppers – Our delightful seasonal postbox toppers are now out and about, bringing smiles to many across the Parish and beyond. We always love hearing your kind words as we place them – it’s heartwarming to know how much joy they bring.
